Job Description

TheAssociate Director, Copay COEis the single accountable BTS partner forUS CommercialCopayCOE business,a senior technology executive who sits at the intersection ofCopay COEstrategy and technology enablement,ensuring BTS Copay investments align with Copay COE priorities and deliver impact to patient access and commercial growth.

Servingas the trusted advisor toDirectorsacross theCopay COE, MAPS APEX,and in some cases BESD,andIRAorganizations, this role willoversee the strategic technology transformation of U.S.copayCOEs technology ecosystem to address emerging initiatives.

This role willmatrix with leaders across Market Access, Patient Services, Finance& BU BTS and enterprise teamstoestablish a vision and roadmap forCopay COEtechnology,while balancing unique needs of each BU and function, with a focus on enablingdata driven decision making and integratedcross functionalinsights. Inaddition,the role will alsobe responsible fordesign,developmentand deployment of data and analytics solutions forCopay COEand MAPS APEX.

Therolewill be accountable fortheCopay COEBTS investment portfolio end-to-end: from strategicprioritization and business case development through delivery oversight and ROI validation, coordinating execution acrossBTS BU leads,shared servicesplatformsand datateamsenterprise wide.

As a strategic anchor for theCopay COE, this leaderunderstandscomplex external environments& healthcare policiesto support data & technology evaluation for emergingUS commercial priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop,executeand manage IT projects within the defined scope. Expedite,manageandcoordinateda multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects. Manage Project Managers.

  • Initiate and Plan IT Projects: Works withCopay COE and BTS Leadership teamstoestablishproject goals and businesscase. Helps set strategic ITdirection.

  • Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes toscope, issues and risks willaffect projectsworking with division or senior/executive management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance toassurethe project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.

  • Executing and Closing Projects: Leads project managers and teams in developing and executing a program plan ensuring that authorized resources are obtained to make certain that all activities are performed. People leader managing a team of analysts and theirprojects and growth in the organization.

  • Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to providetimelyandaccurateproject status and decision support information to Project Team, Division, Cross Division and Executive management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues.

  • Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure program and business needs are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders. Manages,motivates andmentorcross-functional and enterprise project teams.

  • Business-BTS Strategic Alignment:Act as the primary BTS point of contact forCopay COE, Patient Services,MAPS APEXleaders,andbuilding trusted, advisory-level relationships.

  • StrategicCopay COESupport:Own and drive theCopay COE roadmaptoenable integrated data and analytics strategy & key emerging initiativesto address Accumulator, Maximizers, AFM, and patient abandonment risks. Develop comprehensive knowledge management for allpatientaccess & affordability solutions and oversight of copay programoperationsacross external vendor partners.

  • Portfolio Demand Management & Prioritization:Oversee the intake and prioritization of all incoming technology requests forCopay COEapplying a structured, value-based prioritization framework that balances urgency, strategic impact, resource capacity, and enterprise standards.

  • BTS Budget Orchestration:Manage theCopay COEBTSinvestment, owning budget planning, allocation, and governance to ensure funds are deployed against the highest-impact technology priorities, with clear financial visibility&accountability to BTS leadership.

  • Solution Design & Feasibility Partnership:Partner with BU BTS architecture and shared services teams to evaluate solution options forCopay COEbusiness needs, contributing strategic business context to feasibility assessments, trade-off evaluations, decisions to ensure solutions are pragmatic, scalable, and commercially grounded.

  • Consulting Partnership:Actively engages strategic consulting partners to architect and deliver unique, innovative business capabilities,channeling externalexpertiseand bold thinking to addresscritical business priorities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree inBusiness, Computer Science or related discipline with 9 years experience; Master's Degree with 8 years experience; PhD with 4 years experience.
  • 9+years experiencein project management, business systems analysis, softwaredevelopmentor deployment, with a minimum of 9 years managing projects, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 4+ years in the pharmaceutical industry withexpertisein patient support programs, market access, finance, sales, marketing, or related commercial function in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with SQL,PowerBI, Cloud technologies and project management tools such as JIRA, waterfallmethodologiesand SLC processes
  • Candidates should haveworkingknowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space.
  • Experience managing onshore,offshoreand nearshore contract resources, including contract negotiation in multi-vendor engagement.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking,leadershipand ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable leading with ambiguity, capable of initiating and driving multiple projects in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with minimal oversight.
